Dylan Van GerpenPresidentDylan has called Scarritt Renaissance home for more than 11 years and is a lifelong resident of Kansas City. During his time here he’s been extremely active in many aspects of the neighborhood and has previously served as an At-Large Member of the SRNA Board of Directors. Dylan is passionate about community betterment, historic preservation, and social justice. Dylan is a UMKC Bloch School of Business graduate and serves on two other Boards — Parade of Hearts and the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance. Dylan is the CEO of DV Real Estate and has a successful real estate career. Additionally, he serves as CFO of Scrape the Plate Catering which he owns alongside his partner, Scott. Outside of his work and community service, Dylan enjoys traveling, wine, cooking, gardening, and most of all spending time with his family including his two beloved dogs, Edith and Edna.

clay jarrattPresident - ElectA lifelong KC area resident, Clay moved from Kansas City, KS to Scarritt Renaissance in 2021 and lives with his partner Wick Thomas and their two dogs; Bella and Gremlin, alongside chickens, bees and a yard packed with fruit trees and native plants. Clay loves the vibrancy, history, architecture and diversity of our amazing neighborhood and the other areas of the Northeast. He is the Director of Procurement for Urban Produce Push, a hunger relief non-profit, providing fresh fruits and vegetables to agencies feeding people in the KC metro area. He also volunteers for many local organizations and is a board member of Northeast Arts KC and a lifetime member of Northeast Kansas City Historical Society. Clay is a ceramic artist and, along with partner Wick, owns "Clay and Wick" with Clay making handmade pottery and Wick making all natural candles, you can find their shop at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival and other art events around town.

Beth BenkertSecretaryBeth moved to Scarritt five years ago to join the vibrant, historic, and diverse community. She has worked in education for over ten years, first as an elementary teacher and now as the COO of The Educator Academy - a teacher preparation and development nonprofit. Beth believes in the dignity of all humans and is passionate about creating systems that support individuals to achieve greatness. When not working, you may see Beth knitting, eating donuts, going on walks with her family & dogs, or doing yard work.

George HagueTreasurerGeorge Hague lives and works in Scarritt Renaissance. He and his wife, Sandi, purchased their home in November 2021. After a year of renovation, which they did mostly themselves, they moved to the neighborhood in November 2022. Prior to that, they lived in Columbus Park. George is a catalog marketing consultant with more than 25 years in the industry. He is active in Urban Sketchers Kansas City, the local chapter of an international nonprofit. He loves the multi-national character of the neighborhood.

Jacob LukeAt-Large MemeberJacob Luke spent 15 years living in downtown Kansas City before moving to the Historic Northeast. Now, he resides in the Scarritt Renaissance neighborhood, where his mother was raised, alongside his wife and their beloved dogs. A proud graduate of Kansas State University’s Business School with a focus on marketing, economics, and finance, Jacob combines his professional background with a deep passion for art, history, and architecture, which is reflected in his own creative work. He has served the community as a member of the Board of Directors in various roles, including At-Large Member, President-Elect, and President. Drawn by the Historic Northeast’s rich history, vibrant art, and diverse community, as well as its convenient proximity to downtown Kansas City, Jacob and his family are proud to call this neighborhood home.

Laura BrozovichAt-Large MemberLaura grew up all over the country, both in rural and urban areas which gives her a unique perspective to bring the neighborhood. She is currently the Business Operations Manager for a software company that specializes in location intelligence for energy and infrastructure companies. She has 15 years in the industry and has spent most of her career with companies working on integrity practices. She has been a part of multiple KC philanthropic boards over the course of her career, most recently as a member of the KidsTLC, Young Advisory Board in Olathe, KS. For 2023, Laura has accepted the role as a Starlight Theater "All Star" in an effort to make an impact on Starlight’s Bob Rohlf Internship program, which provides paid internships for college students.

Jennifer BergmannAt-Large memeberJennifer Bergmann is serving for the second time on the SRNA board. She has lived in Scarritt for more than 20 years with her husband Jay and their son Samuel. She enjoys restoring their home on Gladstone Blvd and working in her garden. She owns and runs a professional staffing company that specializes in the scientific and engineering fields. Jennifer is deeply invested in the neighborhood and as a longtime resident has seen many good changes including the Land Slide Park, the Kansas City Museum restoration and upcoming upgrades to the Colonnade. Her passions include traveling, science fiction, and gardening.
